Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Credit: Geekery

If you haven't seen Kingsman: The Secret Service (first film), go watch it immediately. There are a few things that you'll understand better if you watch the first film and it's also an awesome movie. I've heard some people say they didn't like this film as much as the first one because it felt like it went into Austin Powers territory. My thoughts are: why would that be a bad thing and the first film is also made that way. Austin Powers made a lot of money, changed up the spy genre and many people watched these films.

Kingsman 2 has changed some things up, but it has all of the same elements of the first film. It's funny, the action sequences are insane and over-the-top and *spoiler alert* Colin Firth eventually knows what he's doing again. This film brings some new players to the group and there are character flaws (what film doesn't have that, honestly?), but it carries itself well and I can't wait for the third film.

I don't like how useless and unnecessary the big villain is. Sorry, Poppy. No one was going to give in to her plans. It also felt like all female characters were in the background and come second to all men, but I never lost interest. I still rooted for Eggsy and Merlin and am now able to root for Ginger Ale. I also found Elton John hilarious and was a bit shocked he didn't just do a cameo. Go see it and judge for yourself, but I already know I'm going to buy it.

Train to Busan

Credit: pop.inquirer.net
This is a new staple added into a list of good zombie movies to watch. It's fun, fast and different. This man Seok-Woo (Gong Yoo) is so focused on his work that he neglects his daughter, even though he knows she's the best thing that could have ever happened to him. It's his daughter's birthday and all Soo-An (Kim So-Ahn) wants is to go visit her mother. Seok-Woo tells her that he can't take her right now to see her mother because he is so busy with work, but he tells her that he can take her another time. Soo-An tells her father that she is old enough to take the train by herself. Seok-Woo decides to take her by train to see her mother before going back to work for the rest of the day. It's just too bad there's an outbreak going on and an infected woman makes her way on the train.

As you can guess, the infected woman spreads the virus and a lot of people get bit, so they try to block off access to other parts of the train. The plan is to go to another station and find a safe zone to go to, but the infection has spread too quickly. There's also people who want to save themselves and don't care about putting other people in danger.

You have people that don't know each other band together and they don't fully know what's going on or what to do. Every step they take to try to get to safety is dangerous and some steps are dead ends. The infection spreads quick and the zombies run quicker. A balance to the madness is Seok-Woo and his little girl bonding. At the same time, they're spending time with a couple, Sang-Hwa and Sung Gyeong (Ma Dong-Seok and Jung Yu-mi), who's expecting a child. The men don't trust each other initially, but they have to learn to have each other's backs. There's also a whole baseball team and two elderly sisters, who look out for each other.

You get to see why people react the way they do to certain situations. It might even make you wonder how you would react. If you're looking for another good zombie movie with good pacing and lots of action, this is it. There is a tiny bit of a South Korean soap opera feel at the end, but it works and it's worth it. This movie is available on Netflix and rental services such as Google Play.

Insecure

Credit: HBO.com
Issa Rae, creator and star of Awkward Black Girl, created and starred in a new show for HBO called 'Insecure'. It's refreshing to see a show about people trying to make it in the real world from another perspective. There are shows like 'Girls', but even Lena Dunham admitted that she didn't know how to write a character from another race and write about their experiences. The problem with this is that we often go through the same experiences and that's a terribly lazy answer. Back to the show, Insecure is relatable to anyone who's wondering why their life is the way it is and later realizing it's probably better than what they're complaining about. It has serious tones and it is set in black neighborhoods, but it's also a refreshing comedy.

Issa Dee is a woman in her late 20's with a job, a boyfriend and an apartment. Her best friend, Molly Carter, is a woman with a career, a better apartment and no man in sight. They both think the other doesn't know how good they have it. They go through good times and bad, realizing too late that if they wanted change, they should have changed themselves a bit differently, but the lives they were living were not as bad as they were acting like it was.

Issa's loyal boyfriend, Lawrence, was having problems with his pride, but he was a loyal, caring and understanding man who needed a push in the right direction. Unfortunately, Issa was wondering what it would be like if she made it with her ex-boyfriend who ends up back into her life. Issa let's her life get into disarray at a time when she was about to live a very fulfilling life. Molly also had problems with serial dating and couldn't find a man to grow with. When she finally found a great man, she pushed him aside because he didn't go to college and had a regular job. He was sick of her games, so he kicked her to the curb.

This show also has moments where white people keep asking Issa everything to do with anything black and the show takes a comical approach to racial issues. This show deals with a lot of everyday things and it doesn't feel like it's only geared towards women or black people. It's just saying we go through the same things as everyone else in differing neighborhoods and/or social circles. The show is well-written with a great cast and backdrop. It makes you wonder where the second season will go and how long do you have to wait to get it.

Yosoo Back Posture Corrector

I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. The Yosoo Back Posture Corrector has 2 shoulder straps and three adjustable sides using Velcro strips. It's all black except for the yellow name brand. It's not hard to put on, but you should make sure you expand the straps out as much as possible, so that it's easier to put on. You can easily adjust the straps after putting it on.

You can take it apart completely and it would be two separate pieces. The straps are soft and durable. You can put it under your clothes if you want to. If the straps are hard to put on, it may be upside down or not expanded out as much. You're supposed to be able to adjust them in the front. It's kind of like wearing book bag straps. it's great for controlling and/or correcting your posture.

You can wear it everyday for long periods of time. I did have a little bit of a problem with it. I needed to adjust it far, so the top part (in the picture above) was rubbing the back of my neck. I think if I cover it, I will be fine. I did also try it on over my clothes and they said you could wear it under your clothes, so that might change things as well.

This is a great posture corrector for fixing your shoulders and upper back. Many correctors are for lower back and spine. I needed both, but I have more problems with slouching and this is great for your shoulders. It's thin material that is durable and for the most part, comfortable to wear. Bouchard Chocolate

Bouchard is a company that makes premium chocolates in Belgium. Earlier this year, the company started selling its chocolates in the United States. They are now available at Costco in California, Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas. I received a free pack of dark chocolate to review, so let's get to it!

They seem like chocolates you could eat throughout the day without feeling guilty. They are dark chocolate and have 72% of cacao. They are thin with lines across the top and they come in nice and fancy packaging. Bouchard has been making chocolate since 1931, so I expected that they knew what they were doing.

Dark chocolate usually has a bad bite or aftertaste when it has a lot of cacao in it. When I tried the first piece, it was strong. It's a strong bite the first time, but they are something you will enjoy. I ended up eating them, a little everyday. It's even better when you get to enjoy chocolate that is healthier and high quality.

Bouchard Belgian Chocolatier Dark Chocolate doesn't have a strong, bitter aftertaste, but it does have a strong bite when you're not used to eating dark chocolate with a lot of cacao all the time. This is not saying that it tastes bad, this is me saying it has a strong, rich flavor like coffee does.

All of the pictures are chocolates that Bouchard makes and the one right above is the dark chocolate. I didn't eat it with anything or add it to anything. I just divided it up between my friend and I, so we could both have some. I'm not usually big on dark chocolate with a high cacao level, but I enjoyed this chocolate and can't wait to see what else is in store. Groupon Goods

This is a sponsored post. However, all opinions are my own.

We know that Groupon is the place to go for coupons to many well known brands. When I have to make a big purchase, it costs a lot of money. Even if I'm making a small purchase, I would still like to save money. I would like to see if I can save as much as possible before I have to make that purchase because it can really help me in the long run.

Groupon Goods is a great way to check out what coupons are available for what brands. When you type what you're looking for in the search box, it'll pop up with what you're looking for automatically if it is something they carry. You can look for well known brands such as Apple products, from iPads to Apple TV.

Groupon Goods has a lot of coupons set up to your location as well. For example, if there's a chain of restaurants only in your state, it's possible that there is a discount and/or coupon that apply to it. I live in Arizona and found a lot of cool deals for movie theaters, restaurants, festivals, museums and so much more. It's free to use, easy to search and easy to save money. You can also follow Groupon on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on deals.

Groupon Saves You Money!

This is a sponsored post. However, all opinions are my own.

I like saving money whenever I can. It leaves me with more money left over for other things or it leaves me feeling like I'm not spending money recklessly. I think that's why many people love using Groupon. I went to a dine-in movie theater with my friend, which costs more than a regular theater. We were able to keep the costs relatively low because we planned out how much to spend and we used Groupon Coupons. We were able to get tickets for $5 to $6 per person. Groupon Coupons can be used for more things than I think people truly realize, including myself! I always look for a deal for something specific and forget just how much stuff you can get a deal on. They have coupons for a variety of brands, including:

  • AutoZone
  • Barnes & Noble
  • Foot Locker
  • T-Mobile
  • Walgreens
  • And many more!

When I shop at eBay or Foot Locker or a great number of other retailers, I would like to see if I can save money. I don't care if I'm saving pennies or dollars because they do add up. You can also follow Groupon on Facebook or Twitter if you want to be reminded of deals out there in the world.
