HE DAO 2-IN-1 UV Black Light Combo Creative Stationary Invisible Ink Pen Highlighter

Yellow Highlighter
I bought this highlighter at a discount price to review and received a random color. It comes in 4 colors: yellow, purple, blue and red. It's small, so you can take it anywhere and the top snaps into place very tightly. I haven't had any problems with the ink leaking. If you're using regular paper, it's better if you write something than draw something because the more you push down on the paper, the more likely it'll tear.

Glowing in the dark
It is a bit costly, but what art supplies aren't? I don't draw as much as I used to, so this was more of a novelty item for me. I can definitely see drawing something and adding this cool highlight to it that you can only see with a black light. It's fun and mysterious. The only problem I had with this pen that can be bothersome is that the light is a little hard to control. You can push the light on, but you have to hold it, pushing it into the top. It's kind of hard to keep on.

Black Light
I will say it's still fun and a black light going in and out showing hidden messages for Halloween sounds awesome. It is an invisible ink highlighter and you don't get to choose the color, but the novelty of it hasn't worn off for me. Inhumans vs. The Gifted

Credit: Entertainment Weekly
I watched the first two episodes of Marvel Inhumans. It wasn't bad, but it feels like it's struggling to draw me in. It felt tame minus the initial scene of Black Bolt in bed with his wife, Medusa. There was even murder, but it didn't make a big impact. You didn't get to know one character and the other ones only Marvel died (they're alive).

Even with all the marketing to see it in theaters in IMAX, I forgot it was on Hulu two weeks later. When I watched it, I could see where most of the budget went. The clothes, hair and most of the special effects made them draw a plain-looking city, but it's also something that will never be explored in full, so it technically isn't supposed to matter.

The storyline feels like Shakespeare, which isn't bad, but I'm waiting on more action. The biggest problem I had was that it felt more like I was watching rich people adjust to being poor, instead of people with powers adjusting to being among humans. It's a classic story of betrayal.

Black Bolt is king and Medusa is queen. Anyone without powers works in the mines, except Black Bolt's brother, Maximus. Maximus convinces people that he should be king, everyone will be treated equally and they should go to Earth. When Maximus starts an uprising, Black Bolt and others escape to Earth. Black Bolt and his family must find each other and work together to go back home and stop Maximus.

Hopefully, the show will pick up. It's not the storyline, but the pacing is a little bit slow. I like to watch a season before I decide if a show is good or not, so I'll keep watching. It's not bad, it's just finding its footing.

I loved how gritty The Gifted feels. The mother thinks she knows her kids and she living life just fine. The father acts like he's helping mutants, but they're basically being put in jail. The daughter has been quietly living as a mutant and the brother is about to find out he is a mutant.

In a world where the X-men are nowhere to be found, mutants have to lay low and protect each other. A network of mutants try to save any mutant that the government is after. When the parents find out their children are mutants, they have no choice but to run and find the network of mutants.

I was interested and engaged. The pacing of the show and effects were great. I'm already waiting on the next episode. I liked that the daughter is protective of her brother, instead of being a standoffish teen. I also liked that I know the parents will have to learn to accept their children and help other mutants if they want to survive. I like both shows, but Inhumans makes me feel like I'm waiting on something, which I don't mind, I just hope it pays off.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

If you haven't seen Kingsman: The Secret Service (first film), go watch it immediately. There are a few things that you'll understand better if you watch the first film and it's also an awesome movie. I've heard some people say they didn't like this film as much as the first one because it felt like it went into Austin Powers territory. My thoughts are: why would that be a bad thing and the first film is also made that way. Austin Powers made a lot of money, changed up the spy genre and many people watched these films.

Kingsman 2 has changed some things up, but it has all of the same elements of the first film. It's funny, the action sequences are insane and over-the-top and *spoiler alert* Colin Firth eventually knows what he's doing again. This film brings some new players to the group and there are character flaws (what film doesn't have that, honestly?), but it carries itself well and I can't wait for the third film.

I don't like how useless and unnecessary the big villain is. Sorry, Poppy. No one was going to give in to her plans. It also felt like all female characters were in the background and come second to all men, but I never lost interest. I still rooted for Eggsy and Merlin and am now able to root for Ginger Ale. I also found Elton John hilarious and was a bit shocked he didn't just do a cameo. Go see it and judge for yourself, but I already know I'm going to buy it.
